July 11, 1963 – July 28, 2025
at the age of 62 years:
Christopher was born on a warm sunny July in 1963, in the early hours of the 11th, in Singapore, in the year of the Rabbit. Christopher passed peacefully in the loving arms of his wife on a warm sunny July day in 2025, in the early hours of the 28th, in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada, in the year of the Snake.
Chris lives on in his adoring wife, Ruth, and his four beautiful daughters, Shaaron (David), Zoë (Jason), Naomi (Robert), and Bethany (Dean). His grandchildren are his cherished legacy, now carried by Dahlia, Eden, Rose, Boaz, Joel, Reginald, Emerson, and Oliver. Being Husband, Dad, and Papa has been his proudest honour.
Christopher’s siblings, James (Lim Ah Chiew), Marion (Ed), Teresa, Gus (John), Margaret (Rodney), Mike, and his beloved nieces and nephews, were always held close to his heart. He wore the title KorKor with great honour.
Chris was raised into the gentleman he became by Doris and Joe. Living in Singapore, then England, and finally Canada, but never losing his love for his Singaporean identity. There was no chili spicy enough for him. Chris had hobbies as vast as his friends, with archery, tai chi, shooting, and wood crafting. He was a scotch connoisseur, loved good food, and he prized his “Bod” Wolfpack patch. He enjoyed cricket and sci-fi novels, smoking pipes and swapping tales. Chris leant towards passions of precision and stoicism. He is remembered and loved by multitudes across the world.
Welcoming him in Heaven are Teresa, Ryan, Joey, Mary, his father, Joe, and many more beloved reunions.

Uncle Chris,
It’s hard to find the words to say goodbye to someone who filled so many lives with warmth, laughter, and quiet strength. You were more than just my uncle—you were a steady presence, a listening ear, and a source of wisdom and comfort.
You had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved without needing many words. Your stories, your jokes, your gentle advice—all of it left a mark that can never be erased. I will carry those memories with me always.
Even though you’re no longer here in body, I feel your spirit in the things you loved, in a well-timed joke, in the strength of family.
You leave behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love that will live on in every person lucky enough to have known you.
Thank you for being part of my life.
Thank you for the love you gave so freely. You will always be in my heart.
Rest peacefully, Uncle Chris. You are deeply missed and forever loved.
I haven’t seen you for many years but thanks to Facebook we were able to reconnect. I remember your calmness, your coolness and your ability to fit into any crowd of people. You were always a pleasure to be around and a fountain of knowledge. You’re missed buddy. X
My memories of Chris go back to the early 80’s, back then, Chris, Billy, Mark and myself all shared a house at 27 Hutton Avenue, Oldbrook, Milton Keynes. This was one of the houses that the Church, then known as New City Pentecostal Church rented and as young people in our early 20s we lived there and attended the Church. It was known as “The Boys’ House”. I can always remember Chris’s love for his Renault Fuego, this was definately a flash car in the day, and he loved to drive it around the ‘New City.’ One of the memories is when Chris decided to cook food in the shared kitchen, it always had a distinctly oriental aroma. Generally we were all looked after by two lovely ladies from the Church , Verena and Lillian (if my memory serves me right). Verena used to cook us all hearty meals but not necesserily the style of cuisine that Chris was used to! I had the privilidge of serving alongside Chris’s lovely mother-in-law, Ruth’s beloved mum Mary when we started a Church in a town not too far away from Milton Keynes. I maintained a connection through Mary with Chris and Ruth. It has been good to follow them through the media of Facebook and to witness from afar the love and dedication that Ruth has shown towards her beloved husband, especially throughout his ilness. I am thankful that Chris is now in the presence of his Lord and Saviour, no more pain, and in the midst of the sorrow, Ruth and all of his family can take comfort that his faith in the Lord has found its home.
Love you Uncle Chris. We will look for you in the stars and enjoy watching you sparkle alongside our loved ones who light the night sky so brightly xx
My hisband, Iain, and I remember Chris when he was a teenager, part of the youth group at Hounslow Pentecostal Church.
He was always a good laugh, cheerful and helpful. An all-round nice kind of guy.
It’s sad that he’s gone so soon, but good to know that he’s with his Father in Heaven.
Our heartfelt condolences to Ruth, and the rest of his family.
