Theodorus (Ted) Hendrikes Vlooswyk, beloved husband of Agnes Vlooswyk, of Sorrento, BC, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2023, soon after suffering a stroke at the age of 88 years.
Ted was born in Stompwijk, The Netherlands on October 2, 1934. In June of 1952 he immigrated to Canada, with his parents Johannes (John) and Cornelius Vlooswyk and four brothers, Anton, Albert, William (Kenneth) and Antonius (Tony).
Hard work and family were always very important to Ted and provided him with a deep sense of pride. Ted soon became well known in the Cedar Heights area for his quality construction work, his fairness and getting the job done. Family, camping, fishing, cross country skiing, square dancing and playing cards followed close behind his work. He is described by many as having an infectious laugh and smile, which uplifted those in his presence. He was always happy to share a story and a good laugh. When times were tough you could count on Ted for standing by you and helping you through in any way he could. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Ted is predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Albert, Kenneth, and Tony, as well as his cherished son, Marvin (2016). Ted is survived by his oldest brother Tony (Jeanne), his wife Agnes (nee Winterhalt) of 63 years, children Ron (Jan Quinn), Ted and Sherilee and grandchildren, Megan, Riley, Joshua, Jordan and Ryan.

For those who are unable to attend, a celebration of life will also be held at a later date in Calgary, AB. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Heart and Stroke Canada.
The family of Ted is so very grateful for the support and kindness they received from the staff of Kelowna General Hospital ICU, specifically, Dr. MacKenzie, Dr. V. Beck and our ICU nurse, Jodi, who went above and beyond.

A celebration of Geoff’s life will be held Sunday, June 18, 2023 @ 2PM on the farm property by the bridge Geoff built.
It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to Geoff; husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who passed away at home on March 27th, at the age of 83 years. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his stoic strength of character and the impish way he would smile when he just told a great joke.
Geoff was born May 6th, 1939 in Aldershot, England and immigrated to Canada after finishing his degree in Forestry from the University of Edinburgh. After a brief stint in New Brunswick and Vancouver he moved to the BC Interior where he spent most of his working life building beautiful houses including the unique Strawbale homes.
In his latter years, his love of nature, trees, animals and gardens blossomed, helping create the wonderful farm enjoyed by so many.
Geoff will be missed by his wife, Barbara; his daughters Jenny and Thea and their families; his stepsons, Kevin, Brian and Steven and their families; his three brothers, Robert, Hugh and Charles in the UK; many other family and friends and all the farm animals.
Family and Friends whose lives have been touched by Geoff are invited to come celebrate his life, to reminisce and share.
A Celebration of Geoff’s Life will be held Sunday, June 18, 2023 @ 2PM on the farm property by the bridge Geoff built.
