Tucker, Janice Carol

Tucker, Janice Carol

February 25, 1938 – February 5, 2023
at the age of 84 years:

Janice Carol Tucker, lovingly known as Mom, Grandma, Gram-gram and even the Energizer Bunny passed away surrounded by her family, just 20 days before her 85th birthday, on the evening of Sunday February 5th, 2023.

Janice is survived by her husband Doug, children Fern, Steven, and Patti Ann, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Janice married her husband Doug on October 7, 1955 and quickly started a family before moving to Salmon Arm in 1965. Janice loved to travel and saw much of the world, but nothing compared to the beauty of the Shuswap Lake. It was here that they chose to raise their children, open a business and then live through retirement until her last day, with her beloved Doug.

Janice was hard working, had abundant energy, and a never-ending zest for life. She was a strong businesswoman, and an exceptional cook. Janice loved to garden, bake (her pies were the family favourite), sew, and play cards, but there was nothing she loved more than quality time with her family and friends.

Thanks to the nursing staff for all their compassion. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Shuswap Hospital Foundation at: www.shuswaphospitalfoundation.org
