at the age of 44 years:

A celebration for Jennifer will be held at the Field of Dreams (250 – 30 Street SE, Salmon Arm), April 15, 2023, 12 – 4p.m.

Jennifer died suddenly at the young age of 44 years.  Born in St. Albert, AB and raised in Salmon Arm, BC.  She enjoyed participating in the SA Fall Fair parades, loved school, swimming, and spending her time in Blind Bay with her grandparents Len & Dorothy Reedman.  She ran as Miss Fall Fair Association and graduated from SASS in 1997.

She was a loving mom and stepmom to 5 children MacKensie (James) Jordan, Shawn, Brady, Christian and her husband Derek Auclair.  Jennifer sadly leaves behind her parents Nona (Brian Reedman), sister Brandie (Mark), brother Randy (Shayne), Clayton Kiddle (Stacey), 5 beautiful grandchildren, grandmother Marg Dondaneau, and many nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind her loving partner Ryan Taylor and his children Hailee and Kingston of Kamloops.

We wish to extend a huge thank you to all our family and friends for their kindness and showing their support in our time of need.  A special thank you to Vince and Tammy Fischer for making something so hard, much easier to bare.  Also a big thank you to Angie and Edie for feeding our family and to Gloria for the beautiful service prepared in Jennifer’s honor.  A heartfelt thank you to Con. Lana McNeil for her care and compassion for me on that fateful day.

A celebration for Jennifer will be held at the Field of Dreams (250 – 30 Street SE, Salmon Arm), April 15, 2023, 12 – 4pm.

at the age of 87 years:

Prayers will be offered Thursday, December 22nd, 7pm, Fischer’s Funeral Services, Salmon Arm, BC.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow Friday, December 23rd, 11am, St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Enderby, BC, Father Tony Ackerman, Celebrant.  Interment to follow at Cliffside Cemetery, Enderby, BC.

Born September 8th, 1935, she passed away peacefully December 15th with family at her side.  Rika was the sixth child of 11 siblings. She married her husband Jack in March 1958. Two weeks later, they were on a boat to start a new life together in BC.

In 1959 they purchased a farm in Grindrod where they raised 5 children: John (Binky) Drydyk, Kathy (Rodger) DeMille, Jack (Brenda) Drydyk, Mary-Lou (Gary) Stewart, Richard (Heather) Drydyk. The family also enjoyed 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. After 26 years, they sold the farm and relocated across the road, remaining near family. Then in 2008, they moved to Armstrong. In 2017, Rika lost her partner and moved to a new retirement community in Salmon Arm.

Rika enjoyed the last 5 years close to family and grandchildren. She loved sewing, crocheting, needlepoint and many of her grandchildren were blessed by spending countless hours at Oma’s house baking, having sleep overs and doing all things fun. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and her generosity.  Their home was always welcoming for anyone who wanted a cup of coffee or a warm meal.

Prayers will be offered Thursday, December 22nd, 7pm, Fischer’s Funeral Services, Salmon Arm, BC.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow Friday, December 23rd, 11am, St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Enderby, BC, Father Tony Ackerman, Celebrant.  Interment to follow at Cliffside Cemetery, Enderby, BC.
