March 19, 1919 – December 1, 2012
at the age of 93 years
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Beeds on December 1, 2012 in Kamloops, BC at the age of 93 years. Mary was born on February 19, 1919 in Biggar, Saskatchewan.
Mary will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her children: Jim (Carolyn), Joyce, Joan (Morris) and Mazie; her twin sister, Kate; her 17 grandchildren; her 24 great-grandchildren; and her 3 great great-grandchildren.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Simeon Beeds, in March 1989; her daughter Doris; her granddaughter Juanita; her niece Florence; her sisters, Lena and Vera; her brothers Paul and George; and her parents Steve and Sarah Davidenko.
Mary was always cheerful and very welcoming to everyone. She had a love of good home-cooked meals and cherished the importance of family and friends. She was truly loved and touched the lives of many. Her family and friends will greatly miss her many stories and endless generosity. Mary was well known for her wealth of knowledge on natural remedies and how to obtain better health!
The family would like to thank Dr. Baker and Dr. Bishop for their understanding and compassionate care they provided to our mother. Also, very special recognition to the kind nurses and staff at Kamloops Hospice House for the outstanding support and comfort that was genuinely given to our beautiful mother and our family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary Beeds can be forwarded to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent South, Kamloops, B.C., V2E 2S9.
A Family and Friends Gathering will take place in Clinton, B.C. in the spring of 2013.
