Peacefully on Saturday January 6th, 2018 after a courageous and lengthy battle, Denny passed away at the age of 75 years with his loving wife Rosie by his side. Dennis was born on September 17, 1942 in Claresholm, Alberta. He met his wife Rose in July 1986 and married August 10, 1991. Dennis was employed by Commissioners of BC – Guard, Salmon Arm Golf Course Goal Enterprises – Property Management, BC Fasteners & Tools, Coast Fasteners & Tools, Canadian Ind. Dist. – Sales Rep. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Rosie, sister in law Joyce (Jim), brother in law Louis (Sandra), sister in Law Doreen (Guy) nephew Ryan (Linda), great nephew Shamus Great niece Kinsley, numerous friends and cousins. Dennis was predeceased by his father Reginald, mother Mary, brother Sydney, sister Barbara & special aunt Jessie. Rosie would like to extend her thanks to Dr. Currie, Dr. Macdonald, Dr. Lourens, the amazing nurses of the Shuswap Lake Hospital on the fourth floor for your utmost care and compassion. The support of the Shuswap Hospice Society, especially Judy and Elaine. Oncologists Dr. Taylor, Dr. Mohammed, Dr. Reed & staff at the Kelowna Cancer Clinic, Dr. Clarkson & Staff at VGH. Special thanks to Mike & Christine, Penny, Marie & Kevin for being my rock and a shoulder to lean on. Denny had a passion for gardening, golf, painting & creating special devises for a one armed man.
We desperately wanted you to stay but fate was to have it this way.
The cure was not to be and now you are free.
We will forever grieve your journey away from us,
But will gain comfort in having you forever in our hearts and thoughts.
Our tears may never dry, nor will our love ever die.
Knowing that your suffering has ended, so peaceful and free from pain,
We would not wish you back to suffer again.
You will be treasured in our hearts and memories forever.
Those we love don’t ever go away,
They walk beside us every day.
Denny you have touched so many lives with your sense of humor and amazing stories. Forever loved and missed by all.

My dearest Rose,
As you know my thoughts and prayers are with you my friend. Denny was always so kind ,respectful and funny. I consider both of you my dear friends. He will be missed but at least the dear soul is not in pain anymore! We know we will see him again at the resurrection and I can’t wait for that day to come. Just know I am here for you my friend and may God give you all the peace and comfort you need!
Dearest Rose, I just saw this as I have been away from work. I am sending you peace, love and strength as you deal with your loss.
