at the age of 47 years:

With great sadness, the family of David Adams announces his passing. David also known as Dave passed away on February 26th, 2025, in Salmon Arm, BC.  He will be remembered fondly by his family friends and community.

Born in Alberta in January of 1978, David was a free spirit. His family moved to Revelstoke, BC in the late 80’s and again to settle in Grindrod, BC.  He was predeceased by his mother Jacky Higgins, stepfather Patrick “Pat” Higgins and his older brother Randal “Randy” Adams.  David will be greatly missed by his surviving brothers Shaugn Higgins and Kyle Higgins as well as his distant family.  In addition, among many others, he will be deeply missed by his loyal dog Fraidy and the family he chose in life, Donovan Shipmaker, Rhonda Young and Jeffery Szalanski.

David was loyal and loved helping others.  He was a valued and larger than life member of the Salmon Arm community.  He was respected for his compassion for others and would have given the shirt off his back to someone in need.  As a free spirit, David was a travelling man and true Outlaw.  He took pride in being a man of his word and his loyalty was unmatched.  He enjoyed camping out and sharing beers around a fire with his family and friends, and listening to his favourite music such as John Prine, Tom Waits and The Counting Crows.  David will be missed dearly.

There will be a potluck style celebration of life held at the Salvation Army in Salmon Arm, BC on Friday, March 14th at 1 pm.  The family asks that you respect their privacy and honour Dave’s memory respectfully.

Ginn, Trevor Thomas

December 22, 1937- February 25, 2025
at the age of 87 years:

With great sadness we announce the passing of Trevor Thomas Ginn on February 25, 2025 at his home in Shuswap Lodge.  Trevor was born in Salmon Arm, BC on December 22, 1937 to Annie and Ivor Ginn.

Trevor grew up on the family farm in Deep Creek with his parents and 11 siblings. As a young man he built a log home on a small farm near by with his first wife Verona Groome and their two daughters. He would fondly recount how much he loved working on his property during those times. As a career, he was a heavy equipment operator, but his passions were fishing, hunting, camping and prospecting for gold.  In mid-life he built a cabin near the community of Pinantan Lake on a beautiful and quiet land. There he reveled in nature and proclaimed the best doctors were silence and solitude. His second wife Annelise Bartlett joined him there for many years. In his last 10 months of life, he came home to Salmon Arm where he could be surrounded by his loving daughters Teresa Kreeft and Gena Ginn along with his grandchildren Spencer Giandomenico, Cody Kreeft and Katrina Giandomenico.

He was predeceased by his parents Annie and Ivor Ginn along with sisters, Christine and Kathleen, and brothers Lawrence and George.  He is survived by his daughters and grandchildren as well as sisters Betty Barz, Molly Parker, Gwen Pipe, Pat Ginn, Rose (Don) Short, Marjorie (Don) Robertson and Linda (George) Turi.

“May my spirit drift with the wind through the wilderness.” – T.T. Ginn

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the kind and caring staff at Shuswap Lodge.  In memory of Trevor, donations can be made to The Parkinson Society of BC. No service by request.
