In loving memory of Mable “Jean” Chorzempa (nee Miller), born in Irma, AB January 30, 1933, died May 12, 2025 in Salmon Arm, BC, aged 92.  Jean was predeceased by her husband John of 53 years, she is survived by her youngest brother Thomas Miller, only child Irene, grandsons Ryan, Mathew and Heath, great granddaughters Jozn and Zyla and numerous nieces and nephews.

A retired teacher, she moved to Salmon Arm from Creston, BC with her husband in 1997.  Until 2003 she wintered in Bakersfield, CA golfing, cruising and dancing with her spouse who she lost to Alzheimer’s in 2008.  She continued to golf, cruise and do community work through the CWL, Second Harvest and In From the Cold to mention a few.  She was president and secretary treasurer for many years in her strata.  She loved to read, watch sports, grow flowers (especially roses), make her homemade Damson Plum “hooch” and spend time with family, friends and neighbours.  She was always willing to lend a hand.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A special thank you to the staff at the Shuswap Hospital, as well as the home care team and palliative care nursed for the exceptional care and support they provided during Jean’s final weeks.
