at the age of 73 years:
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill de Best. Bill passed away on November 12, 2023 at age 73 with his loving family by his side.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle and friend. He was adored and cherished by many – easy going, patient, always willing to lend a hand and have a good laugh. No one cherished him more than the love of his life and wife of 53 years, Beverly de Best. Their marriage was nothing short of breathtaking and their love was felt by those around them.
His gentle nature was evident through his kind and caring presence. He will always be remembered for his passion for golfing, camping, fishing, and tying flies.
Bill’s memory will live on through his wife Beverly, children Tamara (Stan) and Lannon (Mike), as well as his grandchildren Kayla, Aimee, Hayden, Shaylyne and Caleb, who will miss his kibitzing, easy-going nature, and the tonnes and tonnes of love he had for them.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2024, in Salmon Arm, BC, where his life will be honoured and commemorated. If you would like to attend, please email tamara0271@hotmail.com and we will happily send you the information once it has been finalized.
