Fox, Frances Jean “Jeannie” Sharon

February 26, 1945 – April 18, 2025
at the age of 80 years:

Jeannie Fox (née Frances Jean Sharon Beck) was born on Feb. 26, 1945. She experienced a challenging start to life before being adopted by Arnold and Frances Beck, gaining an older sister – Mary. Jeannie spent her younger years in New Brunswick, where she was an avid Girl Scout (and, later, a guide), lifeguard, and teacher. Over her adult years, she found herself moving to Nova Scotia before eventually heading west to British Columbia where she spent a short time in Kelowna, then settling in Lumby. Her last few years were spent at Heron Grove in Vernon. Jeannie was well-known for her desire to help people, her creativity, her letter-writing, and the fierce love for those she called family, including her close friends. As an adult, she spent years volunteering and achieved a master level Reiki and used that to help people find physical healing. Jeannie knew what it was like to experience pain in many forms, and through this she made great efforts to help others alleviate theirs. While Jeannie experienced immense challenges in her life, she can now rest at peace. She leaves behind her four sons – Yanko, Yoben, Jacob, and Jared – several grandchildren and one great grand-daughter.
A private memorial was held where she is laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Red Cross or your local lifesaving society.
