Jensen, David Christopher

July 6, 1959 – April 23, 2019
at the age of 59 years

On April 23rd, 2019, David Jensen passed peacefully after a long and courageous battle, keeping that goofy smile we know and love until the very end. David’s easy going, quirky spirit will forever be kept alive by Julie, his wife of 35 years; daughters Megan (John), Robyn (Dereck), Cassie (Cory); grandchildren Brooklynn and Levi; father Stan, sisters Karen and Lorraine; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Many will remember David for his skilled craftsmanship as a contractor, self taught from the age of 16. He was an outdoorsman with a love for life, enjoying camping, fishing, quadding, and sledding with his friends and family.
As per request, no service will be held.

  1. I only met him after Robyn entered our family but what I saw was a quiet but confident man. He was an amazing contractor because he did an addition to my sister-in-laws place and it was done on time and on budget which is unheard of these days. He loved his family and his grand babies. Rest in peace Dave.

  2. Hello Julie
I am so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing.I was actually thinking about him last week wondering what he was up to.
I don’t know if you remember us. Michael and Beverley Miller up on 70th street Ne. Dave built our main house and later our coach house./garage.
He also built Michael’s brother Richard and Kathy’s home.
Not only was Dave a great builder but also a great person. We really appreciated his building knowledge during the construction of our projects
    and also his patience.
He was a great guy and will be missed.
    Regards
    Beverley Miller

  3. Dear Julie and girls,

So saddened to see of Dave’s passing in the paper. I was speaking of him a couple of weeks ago, mentioning the three Daves we had building our house, and how I had to give them nicknames, his was Happy, another was Shrek and then the drywaller was just plain Dave. He was always there with a smile and a laugh – one reason why Richard and I enjoyed him so much. Richard passed away in February of 2017, I understand how your family is feeling right now. I am still up from the Go -Cart track in Canoe , if you are in this area – stop by and say hello or come in for a hug.

  7. My wife Cindy and I are very saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. He built our house on Copperview Drive in the Highlands at Shuswap Lake Estates and did and outstanding job. I found him to be very generous with his time and always very helpful with any questions I had. We also have three daughters and I work periodically in the Ft. Mc Murray area as did several of his girls so we had that in common and he often talked about how proud he was of his girls. I was very impressed with his skills as a craftsman and his genuine personality and I know he had a great reputation among his peers in the construction industry. Our condolences to his family, he was a young man and will be missed.
