February 24, 1944 – November 3, 2025
at the age of 81 years:
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Eagle Bay Cemetery 4799 Eagle Bay Rd, Sorrento.
It is with love and gratitude that we remember Marion Ruth Kits, sister, aunt, and friend who went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 3rd, 2025, in Vernon, B.C., at the age of 81.
Marion was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, on February 24th, 1944, and spent her early years there, attending public school before moving with her parents in 1957 to Three Hills, Alberta. Marion was a very good student, and she completed her education at Prairie Bible Institute where her faith and curiosity about the world deepened.
In 1969, Marion followed a calling and travelled to Japan to begin language studies. However, after several months of intensive learning, she faced challenges with her health and returned to Canada for treatment. After recovering she went on to work in several office positions. During this time, she became an active member of Willingdon Church in Burnaby, where her faith continued to flourish.
Marion met Ben Kits at Willingdon Church. They married in 1988 and moved to Eagle Bay, BC. After six years of marriage, Ben passed away in 1994.
Marion moved from Eagle Bay to Salmon Arm in 2019, where she lived until her passing.
Marion was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus dearly. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Marion is survived by her brother John and his wife Dorothy, her sister Kathy and husband Ron, seven nieces and nephews, and many grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews.
We are grateful that Marion has been released from her physical limitations and that Jesus has taken her home to glory.

Marion will be missed. Her love for her cat was only superseded by her love for the Lord, who had endured her through many years of life with Kidney failure. She had refused medical intervention and lived totally reliant on her faith in God. She spoke her mind even when some did not want hear what she had to say. Independent to the end. We rejoice in knowing that now she is at peace.

So sorry to hear of Marion’s passing. She was a wonderful friend to us when we joined River of Life Community Church in Blind Bay years ago. Dedicated to her love for the Lord and service to others and always showing much affection to us, faithful in prayer for whatever need there was. She was a dear friend to me and I always enjoyed time with her for a Birthday or Christmas lunch out. I will miss her but I rejoice in her departing this life for being in Jesus presence for eternity. ❤️
Marion was a welcome addition to our family when she married our brother Ben Kits. She was easy to love, and displayed a WONDERFUL relationship with the Lord! Her faith was simple and always readily shared this with others that she was in contact with. Marion was a lovely woman and we look forward to a wonderful reunion with her and other loved ones in our future Heavenly Home!!❤️
Marion will be deeply missed by all who loved her!
That includes me her older sister, by five years!
She was a woman that lived by Faith in Jesus Christ,
He never left her nor forsook her. She made a great impact
on our children and our grandchildren and got to meet a
few of our greats. Till we meet again! Love you!
So sorry to hear of Marion’s passing but know she will be at peace now. The Kits “family” will miss her. She always felt it was important to keep in touch with us over the years and we appreciated that very much!
