at the age of 96 years:
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear mom, grandmother, and great grandmother Charlotte Kutzer. She passed peacefully on April 12th with family by her side.
Born June 7, 1923 in Meekow Germany surviving WW2, getting married then immigrated to Canada.
Memories that will be everlasting and missed are the things mom loved to do. She had a passion for cooking, baking, canning, and gardening which was loved by all. There most certainly are things that were passed down to the generations… Such as her famous schnapps and eggnog that we all grew to love.
Another fond memory of mom is how she enjoyed playing her harmonica and so much so that she played until her early 90s. All her close family and friends will forever remember her wonderful smile as she was always smiling. Any time someone new would meet her the first thing they would say about her is that she is such a pleasure to be around as she was always smiling and happy.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
Charlotte was born to Paul and Frieda Alexe in Meekow, Germany (now called Miechow, Poland). She was at the Mission Hill Care facility and passed peacefully in the afternoon of April 12, 2020. For Charlotte, Easter was her favorite special time for family gatherings. She is survived by her five children, Eckhard Paul Kutzer, Henry Kutzer, Christine Christensen, Evelyn Sallans and Irene Testawits. She loved her children, grand children great children and great great children who fondly called her Oma. She will be missed by all forever.
Mom, you will always be with me.
