at the age of 81 years:
Marlene was born August 30, 1942 in the R.M. of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. She passed away Dec 23, 2023 in Salmon Arm, B.C. at the age of 81.
She will be remembered for the love she gave to her family, and her love for animals – especially kitties. She would be in one of her many flower beds, and who would be faithfully sitting 5 feet away from her, “Kitty”.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband, Roy, her son Kevin (Colleen), daughter Leslee (Ray), granddaughters Teralyn, Danielle, Darius, grandson Dana Bryce, her step-daughters Kim (Craig), Kelly (Jeff), and step-son Chad (Karolyn).
Marlene loved her beautiful flower gardens; and, so did her neighbors. That’s where you would find her (with her Kitty) during the days and evenings.
“Forget I ever had a headache,
And go about your day,
But in summer, just gather some flowers,
And remember where I lay.”
The most beautiful woman in the world!
My heart goes out to all Marlene’s family and friends.
We are reminded to enjoy and appreciate every day on Earth, because it can be taken away so suddenly.
Marlene loved her garden, and her garden loved her.
I admire the relationship of Roy and Marlene. True love shown through support, patience and understanding each other.
