at the age of 91 years

It is with sadness we announce the passing of William “Bill” Lemky on October 7, 2016 with family by his side.
Bill leaves his loving wife of 60 years Eve, daughter Jeanne Glenn, and three grandchildren Mike (Juanita), Kasey (Vince) and Ricki (Kirk) and daughter Cynthia “Cindy” Rea and three grandchildren Denae (Mike), Kaine and Dallas, son William D. (Bill Jr.) and son David (Laurie) and grandchildren Tamara, Alicia (Tom), Daryl, Amanda (Ryan), Johnny and Tommy, 21 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews across Canada and California.  He was predeceased by ten siblings and son in law Dave Glenn.
Bill grew up in Saskatchewan moving to Prince George in 1951.  He was a heavy duty machine operator and owner/operator of P.G. + Q. Drilling.
Bill played guitar from a young age but carpal tunnel surgery caused him to take up the fiddle.  He was made a life member of the BC Old Time Fiddler’s Assoc., Branch #1 in 2004.  He also played with a group at Expo in 1986.   He was involved for 20 years with The Seniors Citizens Drop-In Center on Hudson Ave. in Salmon Arm often hosting and enjoying a game of pool.  Bill was also an avid reader.
The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the staff at Hillside Village.
To honour Bill’s wishes, there will be no formal service.  Memorial donations may be made to the BC Old Time Fiddler’s Assoc., Branch #1, PO Box 416, Prince George, BC, V2L 4S7.
