January 12, 1956 – April 1, 2014
at the age of 58 years
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my father Kenneth James Maxwell, on the morning of April 1st. He passed on peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side. His kind heart and enduring smile will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched. He showed us all what true courage and an un-waivering positive attitude can accomplish in the face of adversity when he welcomed his three grandsons into this world. He will always be remembered as a caring brother, loving father, doting grandfather, and a truly caring friend to those near him. His spirit, sense of humour and smile will be gravely missed but never forgotten. A true free spirit. A small private gathering will be held in Enderby by friends and family to celebrate this wonderful man’s life.
My sincere sympathy to Ken’s family. I volunteer drive people to various appointments, ie doctor, etc. And I drove Ken to his appointments a few times. I found him to be kind, not self pittying and he had a great sense of humor. He was a good man.
My sincere condolences to you and your father. I went to school with Ken, in fact we even dated for a while. He was always kind to me.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
My sweet, wonderful friend since high school… I have so many memories of all the antics we all got into then! Such great self-confidence, you played football and joined our ‘alternative’ mime club! …The letters and e-mails over the years. Your recent regular visits back to Toronto. Our walks on the Boardwalk…
And best of all, your continuous happiness and optimism showed through in your own words:
“if buterflies are free, then why not me… was the question, C. 1975
The answer: We are! Perception is the reality. C. NOW
….Your friend in space and time….KENNY”
RIP, Buddy …
Our earthly world will never be the same, but the universe will light up with you now.
