“Al” as he was known by or “The Greek” by some of his friends, was such an amazing, kind and generous man.  If someone needed something or help, Al would give it without hesitation.

Allan passed the 18th hole on October 10th, surrounded by his loving sons and partner.

Allan will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Jason and Brett, his partner Christine, his loves of his life his granddaughters Llyra and Tyrion, brothers Brian (Sandra), Randy (Bonnie), sister Cathy, niece Jillian, good friend Alvin and numerous relatives and friends.  Allan was predeceased by his beloved parents Edna and Alexander Poulis, his wife Julie and his nephew Adam.

Allan was born on May 13,1947 in Edmonton, AB.  He lived in Edmonton until his family moved to Fort St. John, BC.  There, Allan attended school and graduated from high school. Allan and his father Alexander opened Poulis Trucking and at this time in his life, he met his first wife Julie, they had 2 amazing sons Jason and Brett. Allan was always a family man and always said his boys were the joys of his life.  Allan and Julia moved to Hacking Road in Sunnybrae, BC.  He loved Shuswap Lake, it gave him great joy to watch his boys grow up there.  Allan and his family eventually moved into Salmon Arm, B.C, where they bought a house. Allan loved his house and could be seen sitting on his porch until late in the night. Allan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

“Love lives on forever
In each memory and thought
Of the special ones
Who meant so much
And the happiness they brought
Love lives on forever
It will never fade away
For, in our hearts, our loved ones
Are with us every day.”

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Allan’s family would like to thank the EMTs, Shuswap General Hospital and the wonderful staff that made his last days comfortable.  In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Allan’s name to the BC Children’s Hospital.
