Rustad, Barry John

August 6, 1951 – June 1, 2025
at the age of 73 years:

Barry John Rustad…our beloved legend left this world in great peace on June 1, 2025, in Salmon Arm, BC at age 73.

Barry is survived by his wife Judith of 22 years, his daughter Karlah Rustad, stepchildren Tessa Pullan (Deryl), Hilary Parkyn (Jack), Jacob Pullan (Kristen), grandchildren Joshua Pullan, Frankie and Rhoswen Parkyn, his sisters Karen Bergman, and Janice Duncan (Richard) and numerous other relatives.

Over the last 18 years, Barry lived as a snowbird in Mexico in Lo de Marcos with his wife Judith and numerous visitors yearly over the season, it was so fun. Barry could fix, build and operate most machinery. He was a lumberjack, a purchaser, a machinist, and an RV and car salesman until he retired totally due to his heart condition in 2011. Mexico was his pride, joy and passion. Barry never forgot his friends and always followed social media to see what was happening with them.

So, our Darling Barry, Daddy Bear, Grandpa Bear. “Your smile has gone forever, and your hand we cannot touch, but Forever you are in our hearts we love you very much.”  No service by request.

  1. RIP Barry

  2. Judith and Family, We were saddened to hear that Barry passed away. He bravely fought many health battles and will be missed by family and friends. Building your home at Lo de Marcos was a shared masterpiece and we so enjoyed our exciting visit with you there. He was both a lot of fun to be with as well as very interesting to talk with. Barrry was multi talented and an encyclopedia of many trades and occupations. We will always remember his big smile. We are glad you two had happy years together. We remember the weekend that you surprised us and we realized you were becoming a couple; 22 years, boy time flies.

    Grateful for that visit
Barry answered a bunch of questions I had about who are relatives were
He knew everything, and even threw in some funny details that were no doubt “ off the record “
Hugs to Judith, Karen, Janice and Richard and all.
