In later years she enjoyed various hobbies and activities, including gardening and travel, going on road trips with her daughter, mom, and sisters. She greatly enjoyed a trip to Hawaii with sister Pat and a Caribbean cruise with cousin Dawn. She had a lovely little garden on the balcony of her apartment overlooking the lake.

After retiring Linda moved to the Shuswap area to be close to her beloved daughter Sherry and grandson Kyle.   Her greatest source of joy was her family and close friends. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Linda was predeceased by her mother Hannah, father Charles, love of her life Charlie Shilmar and devastatingly, her daughter Sherry.

She is greatly missed by brother Gordon (Nancy), sisters June and Pat (Garry) as well as by many other family members and friends.

  1. I was so sorry to hear that Linda passed away. She was my co-worker and a joy to be around. It’s always sad when someone passes away, and even though we are sad that your gone from our lives, I promise that Heaven is real, that Jesus really does loves you dear Linda, and I know you are still spreading your joy in God’s garden right now. You will be missed. Love Kimberly
