Shirley was born in Uranium City, Saskatchewan to Raymond and Dorothy. She has an older brother Kenny and younger sister Debbie who were also born in SK. Her baby brother Wayne was born later when the family moved to BC.
She is survived by her loving partner Dennis Hopkins, her siblings, two aunts and her dogs Barkley and Reno.
Shirley kept herself busy and was quite the “handy woman”. She participated in renovations, carpentry, and mechanical repairs to name a few. She had a passion for gardening and yard work with Lily of the Valley, her favourite flower. She also had a love for music, birds, her pets, thrift stores and her home. She was a kind, selfless person and will be missed by all who knew her.
