A celebration of Shirley’s life will take place at the Sicamous United Church on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 3:00 pm.
Born on October 17, 1930 in Viking, AB to Paul and Laura Loring, Shirley passed away on May 8, 2017. Shirley was a devoted nurse, gardener, and thrift store worker who spent the first half of her life in Salmon Arm, with some years in Pt. Alberni, Ft. St. John, Victoria and Penticton before retiring in Sicamous.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Wilbert, daughters Berna (Ian) and Leona (Rod), grandchildren Lyall (Jennifer), Gareth and Laura, great-grandsons Owen and Jackson, sister Kay and numerous other relatives and friends.
If friends so desire, donations to the Shuswap Lake General Hospital Foundation in Shirley’s name would be gratefully accepted.
