at the age of 83 years:

Born on January 30, 1942 in New Hazelton, BC, Douglas had three brothers: Herbert, Roger and Robert; and three sisters:  Shirley, Patricia and Magarie.  Douglas served three years in the army in Egypt.  He is very proud of receiving a medal for his time as a peacekeeper in the Suez crisis.  After that, he drove 100 ton trucks at Mica Creek.  He also leaned to fall trees and worked doing that with his father.
Douglas was married to his lovely wife, Carol Anne.  Together they have lived in Ashcroft, Vancouver and Sorrento.  Doug used to play the guitar, mainly country music.  Together they enjoyed climbing mountains, raising dogs, square dancing and travelling to Ontario, Arizona and Mexico.  Douglas enjoyed watching baseball and was a big Yankees fam!  He practiced the Roman Catholic faith.  He also enjoyed telling stories and reminiscing.
