  1. Only grandfather I ever knew, his humor was wicked, as a child, never knew what could I believe. Eggs grew on trees and racoons ate chocolate cookies. Cross him, he would be tough, same as auntie Ruth, hard on the boys, work hard in the fields of Manitoba. My uncle Roy was steadfast, no tv, grace at dinner, strap if you screwed up, lots of fun if you didn’t screw up. What ever you did or didn’t know in life, my aunt and uncle were the earth, they made you feel it. They were the only grandparents I knew, they earned that title.

  2. Thinking of you and the family in your loss Ruth. Roy lived for that day, he’s home now. Sorry I didn’t get to see you both last spring.
    Dan Fetterly

  3. Our condolences to Ruth and family.Truly a fine man,and forever grateful he gave us the opportunity to farm his land.
    Sincerely Howard and Cathy Spearin
