Albert Roy Tapp was born on Feb. 2, 1916 the only child of Albert and Elizabeth Tapp of Cardale, MB. Roy married Ruth McCoy on June 11, 1942. Roy passed away on November 19, 2014 after a short illness.

He is survived by his loving wife Ruth, daughter Betty, sons Ken and Terry, two grandchildren Shelley and Kelley and great grandson Joshua McLaren.

Interment at Mt. Ida Cemetery, Salmon Arm.

  1. Only grandfather I ever knew, his humor was wicked, as a child, never knew what could I believe. Eggs grew on trees and racoons ate chocolate cookies. Cross him, he would be tough, same as auntie Ruth, hard on the boys, work hard in the fields of Manitoba. My uncle Roy was steadfast, no tv, grace at dinner, strap if you screwed up, lots of fun if you didn’t screw up. What ever you did or didn’t know in life, my aunt and uncle were the earth, they made you feel it. They were the only grandparents I knew, they earned that title.
