Joyce Arlene Weleschuk, 79, of Salmon Arm, BC, passed away on January 6, 2022.

Joyce was born in Camrose, AB on December 12, 1942.  She married Eugene Weleschuk on May 22, 1965 in Salmon Arm, BC. She was involved in Beta Sigma Phi for 42 years. She was very crafty and enjoyed doing arts and crafts.  She loved to camp and fish but didn’t catch very many.  She also loved to ATV and belonged to the Revelstoke ATV club for about 10 years.  She enjoyed travelling, knitting, Brazilian embroidery and crocheting. Her greatest accomplishments in life were being married and raising her family.  Joyce wanted to be remembered for all the happy times she spent camping and travelling.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Laurie Peterson, 3 brothers, Frank, Joe, and Jamie.

Joyce is survived by her husband Eugene, children Raymond (Tami), Edward (Tina), Melody (Stephan), and Arthur (April), 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sisters Lil (Doug) Dunsmore, Sharlene (Ken) Boychuk, Jean (Al) Hogabaum and brothers Doug (Wendy) Peterson, Andy Peterson and Phil Peterson

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The family of Joyce wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all her family and friends.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date.

  1. My sincere condolences to all of you. Gene, Ray, Ed, Mel, Art and your families. I have wonderful memories of your Mom/Joyce. From fishing, camping, crafting, and advising. She wanted all of us to be well and doing well. I have been encouraged many ways by her love. I will truly miss her too.
