Fabiola (nee Leclaire) passed away peacefully in her home on October 21, 2024.
She is survived by daughters Denise, Colette, Suzanne, Nina (Todd), grandchildren Jennifer, Laura, Katie, Erika, Deanna, Darcy, Samantha, Stephanie, Robert and Amanda, great-grandchildren Heidi, Camille, Leo, Watson, Daisy, Eva and Sabrina, brothers Clement and Ronald, sisters Noella and Clarisse and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years Georges, her parents Irenee and Liliane Leclaire, her sisters Claire and Isabelle, grand-daughter Alexandra and son-in-law Terry.
Fabiola was born in St Boniface, Manitoba and grew up in St. Adolphe, Manitoba where her family ran the local post office out of their home. After high school she worked in an office in Winnipeg until her marriage.
She met Georges when he came with his father to paint the Leclaire house. Their first outing together was a double date with Georges’ cousin Lisette and her brother Clement for a Sadie Hawkins dance. They married in September 1956 and eventually settled in St. Norbert to raise their family.
Once the kids were all in school, she went back to work as crew chief at MacDonalds, then Bonanza Restaurants for a short time while going to secretarial school. Once she completed her studies, she worked as a secretary for the department of Natural Resources for the Manitoba Provincial Government until she retired.
She and Georges moved to Salmon Arm in 2006 where they spent their remaining years together.
Georges and Fab were members of the Belgium Club where she and Georges went to many functions which ignited their passion for ballroom dancing. She also loved crocheting, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles.
She left us with many precious memories of holiday get togethers, gardening and puzzling.
The family would like to extend our thanks to Vaughn, Pat, and Wendy as well as Dr’s Keith and Laura Hepburn for their support, concern and kind care.
No service has been planned at this time.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Sicamous Senior’s Centre, 1091 Shuswap Avenue, Sicamous, BC on Saturday, November 2, 2024, 1pm
When I think of your legacy
Thoughts come to mind
Snapshots of moments
Frozen in time
Adventures, parties, boat trips and camping
Traveling, sleepovers, music and dancing
Jerry Springer on the tv, your homemade wine
Love and pride of your family
And how you embraced mine
Advice and guidance
Not always heeded
But we knew you were there
Whenever we needed
The years rushed by fast
Time was not on your side
But for 86 years
You had quite the ride
Your body grew weary
Your mind started to lapse
You faced it all with such courage
And even some laughs
My mom held your hand
You weren’t alone
As your loved ones in Heaven
Welcomed you home
As we gather today
To celebrate you
Sharing memories and stories
Of the “Ted” that we knew
I hope you can see
All the lives that you touched
I hope that you know
You are loved so very much

With great sadness the family of Garry Lybeck announces his passing on October 19th, 2024, at Shuswap Lake General Hospital. Garry left peacefully to be with his Lord and Saviour, surrounded by loving family and holding the hand of his beloved wife.
Garry is survived by his wife Mildred, sister Audriene (William), sons Joel (Deanna), Mark (Lori) and Tim (Melissa), and grandchildren Dylan, Colton, Caylin (Brent), Sam, Nicolas and Haven.
Garry was born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan and was raised on a nearby homestead farm, the youngest child of seven siblings. After being saved through Jesus Christ and dedicating his life to humble servanthood, he became a lifelong student of Theology and Biblical studies, graduating from several different institutions with achievements including a Diploma in Pastoral Theology, followed by a Bachelor of Science Degree, Master’s Degree and lastly a Doctor’s Degree in Biblical Studies.
Garry worked as a Tree Faller and Gold Miner to earn money for his early secondary education. Throughout Garry’s adult life he served as Pastor in six churches in three different provinces. He also served as the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada’s Director of Christian Education in Saskatchewan for five years and is the author of three published books.
Both Garry and his wife Midred were co-founders of Circle Square Ranch Manitoba – a kid’s summer camp dedicated to helping children and youth grow spiritually, mentally, socially and physically in a fun-filled and safe place of adventure and challenge.
In Garry’s spare time he was an avid photographer. Having graduated from the New York Institute of Photography, he enjoyed capturing wildlife on film and developed prints and negatives in his own darkroom. Garry’s true passion however was teaching and spreading the love of God, and he still enjoyed delivering sermons up until a few short weeks before his passing at the age of 88.
All are welcome to attend Garry’s funeral service on Wednesday November 6th at 1:00 pm at Lakeside Community Church in Salmon Arm BC, followed by the burial at Shuswap Memorial Cemetery.
